A Mano Trading

is the work of two sisters:  Seana Pedelaborde and Tara Brown.   Seana Pedelaborde is the founder of A Mano.  She started the company while studying Anthropology in Oaxaca, Mexico.  At that time the line consisted of Vintage Movie Posters, Che Guvarra buttons, Lucha Libre Masks and other funky Mexican curiosities and Folk Art.  Once little sister Tara Brown joined in with her more contemporary and DIY design sensibility, the company became what it is today: 

Handmade-Fashion-Culture. 

 Our love of material culture and appreciation of handwork is what inspires us to create, and to seek out the work of artisans in Mexico. Our love of Mexican Folk Art will never die!  Our business relationships with our Mexican trading partners are always governed by the priciples of Fair Trade (a subject in which Seana has much experience).  Because we have small children and love our planet, we will always strive to be Green.  Check out Babylon Baby our line of Organic Cotton Tees for babies and kids.  Or, our line of Huichol jewelry by Alicia Tellez of Nayarit, Mexico, or our line of Indie-Mod jewlery made in the USA and hand assembled in our Sonoma, CA studio by local crafts people.
